Ireland’s Fiddlers Green is a multi-talented Irish folk band with a vast

repertoire of

songs and ballads old and new.

Fiddlers Green is led by singer / songwriters Joe Giltrap on

guitar,5-string banjo,

bodhran and harmonicas and Danny Carthy on guitar and backed up by Malcolm

Rogers on fiddle and uilleann pipes with Brian Aldwinckle on flute, tin

whistle,

bodhran and acoustic bass.

Their songs relate to life, love, nature and history with a generous

measure of good

humour that makes for a great evening’s entertainment. They believe in the

importance of keeping alive a wonderful Irish tradition that has brought so

much

enjoyment to people worldwide for generations by some of the greats like

The

Clancy Brothers & Tommy Makem and the inimitable Dubliners of course.

Joe and Danny are well respected solo artists in their own right and their

own

recordings receive airplay worldwide. Joe is one of the few people to have

recorded with

American folk legend Tom Paxton. while Danny was invited by the President of Ireland Mary McAleese to Aras an Uachtarain in 2002 as a tribute to Irish entertainers.

Fiddlers Green have just released a new 12 track CD entitled ‘Ireland’s

Fiddlers

Green’that features no less than 9 original songs penned by the two

songwriters..

For an evening of the best of Irish Folk songs and music, Fiddlers Green have all the qualities needed.
