IRELAND FISHING.COM

My name is Eamonn Orpen and I have been fishing since September 1994. I have fished from the West Coast of Ireland down to the North Coast of Spain. I Fished for Albacore Tuna in the Bay of Biscay. Fished off the South, West and North West Coasts of Ireland for all species. The types of fishing I have done are seining, mid-water fishing, trawling and twin-rigging. Due to my time fishing I have very good knowledge of the weather and a boat's limit in weather

The Beara Peninsula offers a rugged coastline, islands and rocks both big and small that accommodate lighthouses, look out towers and many other features. Sea trips around Bere Island, Fastnet Rock, Bull Rock and through the Dursey Sound and Calf Sound offer great scenery.

The Silver Dawn was built in December 2004 in Spain and is ideal for Sea Fishing off the coast of Ireland. With a top speed of 32 knots and a cruising speed of 20-22 knots. Twin Volvo engines. LOA (Length Over All) 12.50 metres. Beam (Width) 4.21 metres. Boat is equipped with toilet, shower, galley, seating area both inside the wheel house and up top on the fly-bridge. You can walk all around the outside of the wheelhouse. This gives anglers more room because they don't have to be concentrated towards the back of the boat.

This boat was also designed to house an anglers chair for sport fishing for the big fish, live Shark fishing, Tuna fishing, Swordfish fishing, etc., of course only when in season.

The boat complies with every single regulation set out by the Department of Marine. Surveyed by the Marine Survey Office. Has all new electronic equipment and life saving equipment. Since this is a new boat, everything on the boat is new, no expense was spared, regarding people's safety
